Dr. David Carpenter, DVM is a 1995 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Carpenter is dedicated to his clients and their pets, which is why he enjoys sharing client education and responsible pet ownership. A true animal lover, he has two rescued Labrador mixes, 7 rescued cats, and two pet birds at home. Dr. Carpenter enjoys the great outdoors, skiing, and being with his family when he isn't at Hiram Animal Hospital.
Dr. Wendy Meeker graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University. Dr. Meeker has practiced high-quality veterinary medicine for the last 21 years, and has been with us at Hiram Animal Hospital for the last sixteen years.
Dr. LaTasha McCracken was inspired to become a veterinarian after working with animals at her local animal shelter. Originally from California, Dr. McCracken graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and currently resides in Douglasville, GA with her English Springer Spaniel, Hachi. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and hiking in her spare time. She considers herself adventurous, and has even traveled to Iceland!
Dr. Jeremy Long earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State College of Vet Med in 2020. He has been working in the veterinary industry since 2009 and his areas of professional interest include small animal internal medicine, ultrasound, cardiology, and surgery. He was first inspired to become a veterinarian after taking his dog to the vet at just 7 years old and today, he finds joy in healing sick pets and being a part of the owner's excitement once their pet feels better. Originally from Hinesville, GA, Dr. Long currently lives in Dallas, GA with his two dogs, Max, a St. Bernard mix, and Maya, a hound mix - who both magically appear when there is food! He enjoys running, sitting by the pool and relaxing in his spare time.
